To be engaged

~ « I’ll always be there with you » ♡

What it is to be engaged to myself? It is to commit that no matter what because I have the courage to believe my ideas worth to be lived. It is to give myself the space to be allowed to succeed.

To be engaged to myself, is to be thrilled by the idea of your dreams being shaped and by every steps in between. It is to go, jump and dive.

To be engaged, it is to take all the space, but not giving yourself too much space to go back.

To be engaged is to be present, obliging myself to live my life fully and completely. It is to have fears but to go there anyway, as much times at needed.

It is a contract with myself for myself.

To be in charge

How can we help others’ if we can’t be responsible for our own needs?

Recently I have heard so many people complaining because they came to work while being sick. How many of us have already done everything to “be so  kind” to help others, or save their ex’s and, eventually they were so frustrated, so drained, so lost.

We convince ourselves that we have to make these painful choices. « be the good girl », « life is hard », « no pain, no gain », … Do you recognise them? We end up being so frustrated.

Stop this ego game.

What if we would first take care of ourselves, of our needs, to be responsible, to be in charge?

Yes, I like pleasures, those that reminds me, I am in charge. I’m in charge of being a better person. I decide to leave earlier an endless meeting because I don’t want to be late to my yoga class. I take a lunch break to go to the swimming pool because it makes me feel great. This is not negotiable.Sometime I’m late because I meditated before going to a dinner. And if I have to wait for someone who’s late, I enjoy to read a book, look or walk around, smile, breath. I go to travel , I attend this inspring workshop. You say ‘Im luck’. I say, I’m in charge. I spend my money for what inspire me, for what make me grow. I’m in charge.

Because when I feel good, I listen to you with my heart. I do things with my heart. It flows, it’s natural. There’re no big effort. I’m here for you, with my heart.

I’m feeling joy and happiness and you smile me back for no reason.

I choose to be in charge, not to complain, not to be frustrated or feeling guilty. I am not ashamed.

I am in charge of my needs, of what make me feel good & happy.

Because nobody will do it for me.

Voyage en Inde: yogi life in Mysore

In Fall 2016, I have spent one month in Mysore where I have practice Hatha yoga with Srinath who has leanrt at Iyengar Institue in Pune.

Everyday, we started the practice at 6am. Someday, I felt a lot of energy, someday my body was sore, but I’ve never doubt about the benefits of it and I would never give up.

In Mysore, I have also followed Ayurvedic training with doctor Chitra Mysore Ayurveda. She taught me about ayurvedic nutrition and marma therapy. Marma therapy is accupressure on marma points. Marma points are located on the body where concentrated of prana are located.

For me, the only downside of Mysore is that there are a lot of Western yogi coming to practice at Pattabhi Jois Institute located in Gokulam. So, Gokulam is more expensive than the oter places I have been in India and, some days, I didn’t really feel in India anymore. The good side is that there are a lot of Western style restaurants and shops that allow you to have some safe raw food and to take a break from Indian food.

My favorite addresses in Mysore (Golukam neighborhood):

  • Food
    1. Tina’s cafe
    2. Anokhi Garden
    3. Dathu
    4. Chakra House
    5. Depth and Green
    6. Green Leaf
    7. Kushi Cafe
  • Organic shop:
    1. Green shop
    2. Dathu (also a restaurant)
  • OTHER:
    1. Silver Nest (beautiful mala and jewlery)
    2. Earth Loaf Chocolate (organic raw and fair trade chocolate. David and Angelika have launched this amazing projet and the chocolate is amazing! Sold in most organic stores)
    3. Flaunt salon (beauty salon. I had hair cut and pedi/manicure. Very good service and super clean. Love it! )
